A place for Clojure users of all skill levels to meet for learning and fellowship. Our goal is to increase Clojure literacy, use and awareness in the Dallas / Fort Worth area, and all across Texas.

Our meetings touch on a number of web and mobile development technologies. While the primary focus of the groups is on building applications with the ColdFusion programming language, we also present on HTML5, JavaScript (jQuery, Ext.js, etc.) and other emerging programming languages, concepts and libraries. Each meeting usually consists of current technology news, an intro topic (approx. 30 min.) and an in-depth presentation (1 hr on average).

Python is a powerful, very approachable programming language. Come to our group and participate in discussions and educational presentations about it. We welcome those new to Python as well as those who have using it for years. We have two social meetings and two hands-on technical meetings each month. We cover many problem domains from serving web pages and database programming, to programs for systems administration and game programming.

The Spring Dallas User Group was founded by Erik Weibust (@erikweibust) and Andy Hoffman in 2006. Erik and Andy had been leading a Java EE user group, working through how to effectively use EJBs, Servlets, JSP, etc. They first heard of the Spring Framework at JavaMUG in 2004 and the 2004/2005 NFJS stops.
